Group therapy helps teens give and receive support while learning from each other and their therapist by discussing the issues they have in common. As a teen, in group you will connect with other teens who understand you and what you are going through!
Adventure Group for Teens
Do you feel like your anxiety is holding you back? Are you wanting to learn skills to reduce your anxiety in social situations? Would you like to have fun adventures with other teens?
Join us the second Saturday of each month to experience exciting adventures with a supportive group. Make new friends and be with teens who understand you. Learn how to lessen your anxiety while having fun!

Adventures for Teens with Social Anxiety is held the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9:00-12:00pm (time may vary based on activity). Registration is requested one week before each event, at which time you will be give the location and activity information. This group is open to teens ages 13-18. It is $200 per group, plus the cost of the activity when applicable.
DBT Skills Group: Co-Ed High School Age
Do you have trouble controlling your emotions or behaviors? Do you have mood swings that seem overwhelming or out of control? Do you want to control your emotions, instead of having your emotions control you?
Gain skills to better control your attention, emotional responses, and behavior and learn how to improve your problem solving and decision making skills all while increasing your ability to communicate effectively with others.
The DBT Skills group is a 4-month structured program. It is composed of four four-week skills modules. Each module includes 2 teen groups per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm and 2 parent groups per module on every other Saturday from 9:00-10:15am. Each four-week module is $995. New members can join at the beginning of each module.
DBT Lite Group: Co-Ed High School Age
Do you want to continue to practice using your DBT skills in everyday life? Do you want to grow and develop your skills with peers who understand what you are going through? Do you want to ensure that you will continue using your skills long-term?
Reinforce the DBT skills you have already learned, continue to practice applying these skills in your day-to-day life in meaningful ways, and foster positive relationships with group members that share similar experiences.
Our Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Lite group is an ongoing weekly group that focuses on continuing to grow and develop the skills taught in more intensive DBT Skills groups. This group is intended for those who have completed a DBT Skills program. It meets on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Destress: The Anti-Anxiety Group - High School Girls
Do you know you worry and try to stop, but can’t? Do you want to fit in, but worry about what others think of you? Does your anxiety sometimes prevent you from trying new things?
Gain an understanding of your fears and worries, discover healthy ways to respond to your anxiety, and learn to change your thinking and lower your stress.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Thursdays from 7:00pm-8:30pm. It is $100 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Self-Esteem and Body Image: High School Girls
Do you worry about how you look? Do you compare yourself to others? Do you want to feel better about yourself?
Increase your self-confidence, learn to feel good about who you are, and know that you are not alone.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Tuesdays from 4:00pm-5:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Friendships & Self-Esteem: High School Girls
Do you feel like you don't fit it? Do you wonder if others accept the real you? Do you know and accept the real you?
Feel comfortable being and expressing yourself, gain a sense of belonging, and develop skills to better manage your emotions.
This is an ongoing weekly group. A group for 9th and 10th graders meets on Sundays from 6:00pm-7:15pm. A group for 11th and 12th graders meets on Wednesdays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Girl Power: Self-Esteem Group: Middle School Girls
Do you sometimes feel awkward around other people? Do you want to gain self-confidence? Do you want to learn how to accept and love yourself?
Create a positive self-image, increase your self-esteem, and be a role model for younger girls.
This is an ongoing weekly group. A group for 6th - 8th graders meets on Mondays from 5:30-6:45pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Boys to Men: Self-Confidence, Independence & Responsibility - High School Boys
Do you ever doubt yourself? Do you sometimes feel like everyone else is ten steps ahead? Is it hard to talk to your friends about what’s going on?
Increase your self-confidence and believe in yourself, develop skills to better communicate what you are thinking and feeling, and learn how to help yourself and others.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Thursdays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested. This group is held at our sister center, Family Therapy Center.
Friendships, Anxiety & Social Skills: Middle School Boys
Do you have a hard time making new friends? Do you compare yourself to others? Do you want to feel happier and more confident?
Develop skills to get along better with others, improve your self-esteem, and learn new ways to talk to and interact with your peers.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:45pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested. This group is held at our sister center, Family Therapy Center.
Transition to College: A Co-Ed Group For High School Seniors
Do you want support navigating the transition from high school to college? Do you have fears, anxieties, or simply questions about going to college? Would you like support from other seniors as you prepare for this new experience?
This group will help you to feel more confident about going to college. We will address the worries and excitement around this process. You will get to talk about your feelings around leaving home and heading to a new environment, develop coping skills to manage these changes, and most importantly, receive support from others going through a similar experience.
This time-limited group runs from March 22-September 6, 2018.
It meets on Thursdays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session.
P.R.I.D.E. Support Group: All Genders High School Group (Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, Empowerment)
Have you experienced challenges with your peers because of your sexual orientation or gender? Do you wish you had a stronger sense of community? Does your sexual identity keep you from fully expressing yourself?
Increase your self-confidence, give and receive support from peers who understand you, and express yourself freely in a no-judgment space.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Sundays from 6:00pm-7:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Anxiety, Depression & Self-Harm: Co-Ed Ages 14-19
Do you want to give and receive support from peers who understand you? Do you want to develop deeper relationships with others? Do you want to grow and shape your own identity?
Develop skills to manage emotional ups and downs and receive support and speak openly in a judgment-free zone.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Sundays from 7:30pm-8:45pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Young Adults Managing Anxiety & Depression: Co-Ed Ages 18+
Is your anxiety or depression getting in the way of what you want to do? Do you feel lost or unsure of your choices? Do you want to feel confident about yourself and the path you’re on?
Learn skills to better cope with anxiety and depression, develop meaning/happiness in your life, and give and receive support from peers who understand what you’re going through.
This is an ongoing weekly group. It meets on Tuesdays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
Parents of Teens
Do you sometimes feel like you’re not a good parent? Do you wish you knew more about how to parent a teen? Would you like to learn skills and tools to better understand your teen?
Discover how to effectively communicate with your teen, learn how to establish and enforce appropriate boundaries and consequences, build a better relationship with your teen based on trust and mutual respect, receive support from other parents in similar situations, and know that you are not alone.
This is an ongoing weekly group for parents of teens. It meets on Mondays from 7:00pm-8:15pm. It is $85 per session. An 8-week commitment is requested.
