Group therapy helps teens give and receive support while learning from each other and their therapist by discussing the issues they have in common. As a teen, in group you will connect with other teens who understand you and what you are going through!

This in-person process group helps teens who are struggling to adapt to the high school experience. This process group offers a space for teens to support one another by sharing experiences, learning new coping skills, and developing healthy lifestyles in a judgement-free zone.
Applied DBT High School Group
Therapist: Melissa Daoud, LMFT
Gender-Inclusive, Grades 9-12: Wednesdays 4:00PM – 5:15PM; or Fridays 4:00PM – 5:15PM
DBT stands for dialectical behavior therapy and effectively treats anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, and relationship issues. Specifically, DBT is very effective for managing mood swings, problematic behaviors like suicidal thoughts and self-harm, improving relationships, and improving problem-solving skills. This in-person process group will introduce DBT skills, teach teens how to apply them to everyday life, and provide a safe space to practice the skills in a peer group.
