Part-Time Psychiatrist

Teen Therapy Center and Family Therapy Center are private mental health practices on the Los Gatos/San Jose border. We provide high-quality mental health care to children, individuals, couples, and families. We are seeking a highly skilled psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care for teens and young adults in our Behavioral Medicine Department.

This role starts at 6-10 hours per week with the potential to grow if desired.

Psychiatrist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for teens and young adults

  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and care teams

  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications while monitoring effectiveness and side effects

  • Provide follow-up care focused on medication adjustments, symptom monitoring, and lifestyle recommendations

  • Coordinate care with therapists, behavioral health providers, and medical professionals as needed

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with board certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (preferred) or General Psychiatry with experience treating adolescents

  • Active California medical license in good standing

  • Strong background in ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and behavioral challenges

  • Commitment to evidence-based care and collaborative treatment approaches

  • Energetic, compassionate, and motivated to support youth mental health

  • Experience with telepsychiatry is a plus but not required
