MY APPROACH

Humor, warmth, and non-judgement are the cornerstones of my approach to therapy. I am highly responsive to what each individual client needs, bringing in activities and interventions from multiple modalities that are relevant to the challenges they are facing. You will find my therapy room stocked with games, art supplies, fidget toys, and comfort items. Teens can expect an ally who respects their experiences and takes their feelings seriously. Young adults will find in me a supportive collaborator who can help them figure out their next steps in life. Parents can count on me to be an empathetic partner in addressing their child’s challenges. Working with me means you will have an accepting, enthusiastic person in your corner as you explore who you are, what you’ve experienced, and what matters most to you. Clients who are struggling with their identities, aspirations, and relationships to the world will find a safe place to ask the big questions in my therapy room.

ABOUT ME

I’m queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent, and I’m especially passionate about working with these populations and anyone else who has experienced life on the margins. My background in multiple social sciences informs my commitment to cultural competence and enables me to attend to the social and cultural aspects of mental health that are sometimes overlooked in psychotherapy. I live with chronic illness and disability, and I find it deeply rewarding to support clients who have similar experiences.

I’m a lover of all animals and I have a little black cat named Nova who runs my life. I enjoy playing video games, I have an extensive Uno collection, and card magic is a lifelong hobby of mine. If you’re looking for a nerdy therapist, you certainly found one!
