MY APPROACH
I believe in the power of personalized therapy to help clients explore their inner world with openness and curiosity. My approach is relational, emphasizing calm presence, deep listening, and respect. I am passionate about a wide range of issues, including grief, loss, and relationship problems, and incorporate body awareness and mindfulness to address the impact of stress, trauma, and emotional pain.
Additionally, I draw from a variety of experiences: I was a personal banker for eight years; a teacher for ten; I helped raise my younger brother; and I grew up in different countries and regions of the United States — together, they inform my understanding and expression of care, empathy, compassion, and cultural humility. As a Filipino, person of color, and gay man, I offer a safe space for all clients to feel seen, heard, empowered.
ABOUT ME
In my time off, I like to listen to music, read, share meals with friends and family, play tennis, and watch movies, from documentaries and foreign films to rom-coms and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I live with my husband and our 13-year-old rat terrier, Eddie.
