MY APPROACH
I strongly desire to see my clients develop into the best version of themselves throughout our therapeutic relationship. I seek to do this by assisting them in broadening their understanding of their own experiences so that they may develop informed plans for the next steps in their lives. I make every effort to meet my clients where they are by understanding their entire selves, not just their problems, and allowing each part to receive an empathetic ear as needed. Teens especially are at an age where they are trying to find their place in the world, and I want to give them the skills to help them achieve that.
Since I place such a strong emphasis on empowering my clients, my practice tends to be person-centered in nature with equal incorporation of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). My therapy is also trauma-informed, so my therapy focuses equally on processing past experiences as it does treating present symptoms.
ABOUT ME
When I am not doing work with clients, I offer up a lot of time for good times spent with family and friends. Being a massive nerd, I love to play board games, video games, or watch tv and movies with people I care about. I also like to go bowling with my family whenever we can get out. When I get some alone time, I love to read a book or comic I picked up from the library, do some creative writing, or browse shopping sites to dream up my new favorite outfit.
